batam wOOTS!!

woohoo back from batam, became millionaires the day we got there lol had a real relaxing time there, heres some stuff about batam

1) loads of aunties and uncles go batam (dunno do what) and they like to jam up the exit of the ferry even when we are still far away from our destination.
2) SGD100 for 2 nights sounded cheap to us initially but the place turned out to be one of the higher end resorts and of course with that we became vips. (being chauffeured to our doorstep even though it is only 5mins walk away)
3) the locals like to giggle at tall ppl...
4)there is actually an option to have bananaboat ride for 1 hour!?
5)everything outside the resort is cheaper.
6)levi's(about $80+ there compared to $120 here) and oakleys ($180 for a half frame) are cheap over there
7) food is also damn cheap in the town centre, $1+ for a plate of chicken rice or wanton mee? 8)$16 for a 1.5hr aromatherapy massage or body scrub? $13 for a thai massage?
9)my masseuse giggled again, just like the one in thailand.yh's masseuse tried to pick him up lol "from singapore? are u married?"
10)SGD 200 makes u a millionaire yeah!
11)nagoya is like full of chinese ppl, maybe the place where ppl keep their mistresses. its a heaven for pirated goods, cds, dvds, branded goods.
12)Batam ppl eat crackers with chilli in all their meals, like some appetizer
13)they tune in to class 95, 98.7, mediacorp channels and even singapore magazines. got bookworm club books around too lol
14) shiok to have drinks in the pool at the poolside bar, feels heavenly, like a king
15) batam paradise (rum, pineapple and dunno what) is lethal hah at least to someone who seldom drinks like me
16)$17 a person gets u fish, chilli and pepper crabs, garlic prawns, hot plate tofu, kang kong belachan, rice and drinks in a kelong restaurant.
17)security is very tight in our resort, they check all vehicles for bombs. seeing the guard patrolling alone makes u feel safe, esp when his biceps are as big as ur head and his uniform buttons looks like their are going to pop, right sr?
18)old korean folks can still sing when they are drunk
19)fengshui plays a part when u are playing blackjack or pairs, helps alot when u are drunk with magaritas
20)ralph lauren polo tees cost only $36! and their labels comes with or without the words ralph lauren.
21)singapore waters are safe! our ferry got intercepted by the police coast guard so they could film the process of doing spotchecks on ferries.
22) we came as 4 males (as indicated in our immigration cards) and left as the 4 musketeers!
