ROCK is alive!!

and kicking! thanks to chris daughtry of course at st james powerhouse earlier this evening. met charles and his sis outside st james. we were quite lucky to be one of the last few ppl to get into the place before they closed the doors as the venue was full and so we were stuck at the entrance but could see half of the stage, the half where chris was sitting haha

the sound system there was superb and their performance was near flawless. the acoustic setup sounded absolutely wonderful. and to balance all the testosterone levels in the house, andrea fonseka hosted the showcase in a hmm sexy mini skirt hah =P~~~



ok phone camera resolution not that fantastic. on the left is his guitarist, fonseka in the middle and of course the botak lead singer there beside her. the other band members can't really be seen. definitely looking forward to attend their concert if they are holding it here back in singapore. after today, kinda itching to go linkin park's concert in november. $128 standing tickets, anyone game?

jam packed!

what a busy day! the morning started off with the c-class challenge held at the police academy. its basically a defensive driving course involving swerving, e-brake, slalom, how to prevent understeer blah blah but mainly to highlight all the new technology merz has put in the new c-class. its impressive especially discovering that all the widely used air bags, abs and other stuff were first invented by mercedes benz. after practising on the 3 mini circuits, all 3 were joined together to form a big one for use in the time-trial c-class challenge. too bad didn't clock the fastest time heh but well it was fun flooring the accelerator, jamming the brakes experiencing abs and steering hard.

after the event rushed back to woodlands for work. evening went to sda for ethics meeting. after sending gf back home, yh, sw and i came across a crowd gathering around 2 trees busy snapping pictures away. there was also a jam as the cars were slowing down to see what was going on. being curious, we parked the car and took a walk down to see what was happening.

apparently a vehicle crashed into the tree sometime back and now a monkey figure has appeared on that area of the tree. the tree next to the monkey tree also attracted ppl, mainly indians as there seem to be an image of an indian god on the tree. so now a makeshift altar has been setup together with newspaper articles stuck on the tree to attract ppl to pray to get 4d numbers heh
