level up!

it feels darn discouraging when pts come back with the same problem after tx, makes me feel incompetent but well, learnt the lessons and it won't happen again... hopefully

went shopping today haha spent about 600+. went to peninsula plaza to make a suit as joseph recommended. well the guy was quite entertaining and "promised" a hugo boss cutting to make me look bigger lol well 550 for a suit and an extra pants maybe a little ex but nothing compared to a 2.5k hugo boss. after that rushed down to point optic to make a new pair of specs! no more harry potter specs, sorry to disappoint all my fans out there, there will be a new intellectual look. had a ntuc birthday voucher so the specs only cost $70. can't wait for the fitting session of the suit next week! as well as collection of my specs hehe

life update

1st week of work over, it has been an exciting week. compared to 4years of dental school, just this 1 week alone, i have
1)treated more patients
2)extracted more teeth / root stumps
3)done techniques which i only read in textbooks during school
4)very fast treatment, 20-30mins compared to 3hours
5)realised the painful truth that ideal treatment is not for everyone. i've seen pretty young girls who just couldn't afford to save their smile. i felt just sad to have extracted their teeth, especially when all their other teeth are still in good condition. well, as xx said, they have other priorities in life and spending a thousand bucks on one tooth may not be on their list.

plenty of dinners this two weeks. yesterday went to ndp preview with xx. well it wasn't exactly a preview, maybe a rehearsal for the preview haha quite a coincidence to bump into xl and her mum and we were sitting in the same sector too! so we squeezed through the crowds to get to our green sector. Being a rehearsal for the preview, they only gave goody bags to half the spectators. our sector were given food and drinks instead. the floating stage was a refreshing change from the usual kallang theatre as boats could be used during the performance. glad i'm not in ns at this time. saw so many of my units' "toys" on the water, surely alot of sai gang haha
