walk walk walk

the annual newpaper big walk, to some it may be a competitive event to push their limits, to some it is a time for families to spend some quality time. Indeed, it is a unique local event where so many singaporeans actually bother to wake up so early in the morning to walk. i have short term memory but somehow i'm able to remember some of the previous big walks i have taken part in. remembered in jc, we took part in it but along the way stopped by at suntec and never turned back. in dental year 1, i remembered rattling all the physiology to xx all the way, 5km of physiology hhaha coz there was physio test the next day. dental year 2, was stuck waiting for the charted bus with xl and yh and arrived at 930 only to find a pissed xx heh persuaded her to continue and we walked on while the police were keeping the barriers behind us haha

This year however! i was early!! haha and we managed to get to the starting point on timealong the way, we saw quite a few interesting people or groups heh

this particular group made big walk look like a chingay parade hehe with drummers and chang ers walking. this little fella ought to join the competitive segmentdurian commercial?halfway through!

alright, we didn't complete the full 10km, at 6km we had to cut short our walk cause we booked tix for da vinci code at 11 at marina. so we washed up at suntec and walked around till 11. the show which xx has been anticipating did not disappoint. it stayed true to the original novel and certain special effects were quite nicely done. just amazed at how robert langdon is able to decipher codes so quickly. the show is good, 8.5 oats. after lunch at marina, we went back to catch the latest episodes of lost and naruto.

p.s.: diana wish you all the best in your future pursuits and thanks for your torch heh

survived

finally came back from the firing squad alive, today's firing session had more spectators than before. surprisingly, the fiercest of the shooters seemed the nicest today, shot me with a smile lol wonder if theres a hidden knife somewhere.

last saturday quite happening, after catching lost episode 21 (which revealed quite a bit of stuff and the plot seemed to be nearing towards xx's theory which was previously posted ehehe), we went to night safari! hmmm it felt quite different, to be in the zoo at night, somehow i felt like a tourist again being my first time there.admission tickets come at 2 prices, $20 for a normal adult admission and $28 for admission plus tram. so of course we chose the $20 bucks one, then the lady say oh then you can't see all the animals. i was thinking, wth how big can the place be, walk faster then can see all the animals already lah so we went ahead with the $20 tickets only to find out later that almost half of the animals can only be seen on the tram because people are not allowed on the tram route! what a way to earn money man darn taking photos also damn difficult, unless u got a big tall tripod, if not your pictures will be blur coz no flash is allowed in the night safari.
one of the nicer shots

animal-wise, its quite interesting to see them so active at night, especially the horny otters, posing for me to take pictures and making erotic noises lol suggested itenary if u want to go in future: walk the trails first, then que half an hour in advanced for the shows cause only got 3 shows and lastly take the tram for a relaxing tour around the place.
a real zebra crossing

after safari, rushed down to town to catch poseidon. its a short show but action packed right from the moment the ship got hit. However, unlike titanic or armageddon, there ain't any character development (or maybe thats because we went in 10mins late lol) so if any one die, you won't feel anything for that person. but anyway, quite enjoyable. 7 oats. went to macpherson for supper and ate like a pig again...

impressed!

went to chinese high drama centre yesterday for hcjc's harmonica band concert lindale '06. a funny taxi driver took xx and i there and on the way he tried to joke with us. so he was saying, harmonica concert?? nice meh or something like that, then i replied yeah coz my little bro is performing. the turnout for the concert seemed to be better than last year, but this year don't have lao jiao harmonica player to perform. and yep my bro performed in a few pieces and even a solo and gosh it was good! not much mistakes(if there was i would'nt even know ehheh) well, this certainly showed a different side of him, a shy conservative guy actually performing solo on stage, darn i dun even have the guts to do that, good job man! seems like he had alot of supporters from the audience too and they like to giggle at him haha well well, my little bro has grown up and matured alot, something which i didn't really have time to notice all these years... i'm a lousy brother hah anyway congratulations and thanks for an entertaining evening!

look what i found at the chinese high toilet
haha looks like the chinese high boys need some reminders.

heres an excerpt from one of xx's frequently visited blogs, karen cheng's latest entry

"To my surprise, the clinic was still in the same place, but it had QUADRUPLED in size. It was all modern, open and funky. The staff wore hawaiian shirts and sneakers. Everyone called him "Dr G". They blasted pop music through the speakers. The walls were full of new colourful posters. It was a slick outfit, completely and utterly geared towards TEENAGERS. I was impressed.

What also impressed me was the waiting room. It was full! Of teenagers! Everywhere! Teenagers in their school uniforms, sitting next to mum. Teenagers with broken voices and zits, fidgeting in their chairs, shuffling their feet. It was cute.

After a long wait, it was my turn. They took a couple of digital photos, cleaned my teeth, slapped the braces on and... I was done!"

damn! my kind of clinic! can blast linkin park! hahaaha if only singaporeans are more receptive to these kind of ideas.

just a misc entry, heading to school to meet xx. almost had a freaking accident at the junction. was at the junction with this red jazz beside me. the lights goes green, both cars moved off and i almost hit that freaking red jazz. heres the senariodamn the red car cut into my lane, i looked at the driver and yeah its a she talking on the freaking phone! what a road hazard she is arghhh! horned at her but she still talking on the phone as if nothing happened, what an idiot!

xo beehoon at holland v has become more expensive! its now 7 bucks for an individual bowl and san lo hor fan or i would prefer to call it san lo dao gei(bean sprouts) only got measly amount of kuay tiao and it cost $6 a plate! quality-wise still maintain.

qinobe should stick to rap songs like today hah really rocked tonight, they used up the fast songs in jay chou's fantasy album already, lets see if they squeeze out more rap songs from the other albums lol
