HK day 5 - Disneyland / temple st (the longest post yet!!)

ok day 5, final day of touring before leaving for singapore the next day. was deciding between shopping and sightseeing. but after some discussion, decided to go disneyland since we had already been to the ones in LA and tokyo. so off we went, but not before having the most important thing, food!!

saw the show timings, had to rush for the lion king show as xx saw good reviews of it on tv. so we changed directions and headed to...
adventure land!
went straight to queue up at the festival of the lion king, as usual the "pushy" ppl were all around, irritating. xx is always pissed when they dun understand what is no flash photography.
so basically its like a little musical running through the simba's story

after the show, went to the next nearest ride, which is the raft to tarzan's treehouse

very important warning that they have to play it in repeat, irritating
next is the space mountain, high speed indoor rollercoaster which i took in usa that time. this is the most exciting ride out of the rest
then headed to stitch interactive show. interesting stuff, the cartoon is playing but is able to interact with the audience real time! quite funny when he identified one of the audience's name as muhammad, and when he destroyed a planet he said "muhammad!! why did u destroy the planet!??"

Its a small world, from past experience, it was a long and boring ride, so we decided to skip it.

then we heard some music and the crowds leaving the area, time for the usual disney parade, so we rushed off to the nearest street to see, luckyl hk ppl not so tall hehe, manage to get a nice spot

hk disneyland, unlike the others, it doesn't have the tune town, the colourful town where the characters live, this is quite disappointing, instead theres a garden with pavillions where u can queue up to take photos. fortunately, there wasn't much of a crowd heh

took the disney rail train which brought us round the theme park, abit boring coz dark at night hard to see stuff
with 1 hour left to the fireworks, decided to go for a final attraction, thankfully we found this
another 4d show, but unlike the lego racers we saw at the airport, this one is way way much nicer, better 3d effects, and the water squirts and wind were all on time, not lagging at all
the theatre

then its time for the fireworks!! went back to the main street to get a nice spot

yeah its snowinG! but foam, quite bad for the camera haha but brings out the christmas mood!!

ok remember we were given the glasses at the start, now it was time to use it
take note of the street lamp in the middle of the photo

now this is what u see through the glasses, cool huH! little snow men, so if u look at the christmas tree with many lights, the snow man will appear all over the tree, and if u look at the fire works with it, woW! but too bad we were too engrossed we forgot to use them during the fireworks

on with the fireworks! my first disney firworks, the other disneylands just didn't turn out right.

after the show, went to the shops to do some last min shopping
just had to take this, funny cap, saw so many kids wearing this haha just like stitch gg to bite their head off

as they say, the night is still young and so we headed to temple street for dinner/supper and maybe some shopping

after a full meal, went back to the hotel, of course being the last night, i had to take some night shots around our hotel and yes i did hehe



the next morning, had our final hk breakfast before setting off to the airport. one last post which i felt was quite funny take a look haha taken from the jetstar magazine


so that ends our hk trip, short but nice! somehow all these places can't match up to japan and usa, turkey was unique in its own way. still it was a very fun trip, thanks to dt and his gf for bringing us around haha oops still owe him money =D
