30/11/08 - HK Day 1 victoria's peak(warning, photo intensive)

Finally, after 3 days of processing, the photos are more or less ready! went to hk last week with xx. took jetstar which wasn't really comfortable, i thought tiger airways was better but maybe that was a shorter trip. so woke up at 3+am, picked xx and headed to changi airport for our 1 week holiday!!


took a public bus straight to our hotel Newton Inn at north point
according to dt, our hotel is quite good but cheap because it is located just beside the wetmarket, so once u exit the hotel u can smell the smell of wonderful raw food

met up with dt his gf before having lunch at this nearby zhi cha place. yummy fish, pork and vege rice. really good stuff.

after lunch, we proceeded to our 1st sightseeing place, victoria peak!
hk is just like sg, lots of commercialised buildings

dinner time with the original luncheon meat maggie mee
hongkong milk tea and daniel's gorillapod, thanks daniel!

after dinner, we went up further to the peak, what a breathtaking sight! and very cold too.


could see both hongkong island(bottom half) and kowloon area(top half)

after sighseeing, what else to do? eat! more desserts haha
yumm sesame paste, nice, thick and smooth
had to try the famous waffle that comes in balls, recommended by one of the nurses. crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside! very good
went back to the hotel with a full tummy to rest. more fun stuff coming on the 2nd day
