my hootz of the day! + visit to friend's art exhibition

yes!! after weeks of deciding and deciding and deciding and deciding etc etc haha ok finally bought my new toy today! thanks to all who have contributed their opinions! will definitely try to make this baby as useful as possible, probably a photo a day concept. getting this wasn't easy, had to squeeze through the crowds, queue to collect freebies and squeeze through the crowds again to go back. must say the freebies are quite good, infact heavier than the camera itself. freebies include 2 memory cards, 160gb external harddisk, big tripod, bag, slr textbook, screen protector, uv filter and additional lens. as usual, luck wasn't on my side in the uob sure win lucky dip, no psp or digitial cameras for me, one lousy card holder but at least its in black and red =)

after that, paid vincent's grandma a visit at sgh followed by catching my sji classmate's very own art exhibition! wow didn't know that guy is so into art until today, well actually its run by him and his brother, twins!
here it is at the post museum, 107 rowell road, near little india
@ the entrance, title too arty for me to understand, my guess is its a children's toy theme
right at the front are art pieces made by daiso products, yeah assembled and painted to produce what u see in the picture
items such as combs, toothbrush holder etc were used
art pieces of childhood toys such as the nintendo system and ufo catchers
now this really brought back memories, i used to have one of these as well, dunno where they gone to. but they actually took photos of different locations in singapore and made it 3d with this! really fantastic
the message behind this i think is architectural flaws seen in singapore such as benches facing nowhere
this is abit like a dictatorship thing, one podium facing rooms or something like jail cells.

and right at the back is the F1 inspired theme, a river race by rubber ducks through different obstacles
