updates

horrible sunday, horrible event called formula drift
1)no tickets, cannot drive into the carpark
2)cannot drive in coz carpark full
3)advised to park at singapore expo(only idiots would go there)
4)walked 2km under hot sun to the place, only to find empty carpark lots and people leaving the event
5)competition ended 1hour plus earlier than the schedule!

had dinner at nice air conditioned terminal 3 @ tcc,nice place with a nice mall at basement 2

japanese dessert @ cineleisure, reminds me of the ones we ate in japan yummm!

fishiefishiefishie

took a short walk to the sg flyer with xx on friday, it looks huge, not all the shops were open though. came across kenko massage and fish spa, decided to have a go at it haha well it was ticklish! those fishes are really hungry, eat non stop all day. it costs $28 for half an hour, just to let them have a nibble at your feet. they seem to like my hand more but was caught by the shopkeeper, not allowed haha the bigger ones are more violent, have to shoo them off once in awhile.





they love my feet! they are doing a better job looking after ppl's feet than some idiot thats for sure.

disastrous day WHY WHY WHY

it is definitely the WORST day i have worked ever since i started. WHY!? 88 patients for 4 DOs. ok someone did come to rescue us in the afternoon but still it felt like hell. hot, warm and sweaty. i didn't give my best to my patients, at times i even tried to shoo them away indirectly. WHY!? worked over time till 1.30, da bao nasi lemak and started work at 2 only to work over time again till 4.50. to make matters worse, the stupid aircon had to break down at 3 leaving us with almost 2 hours of hot humid stuffy working conditions. fucked up. there was a senior management meeting in the morning, WHY didn't the idiot come over take a look, maybe he didn't bother, or maybe i should give him the benefit of doubt that he ain't that senior enough to be invited to the meeting. WHY my doic didn't bother to help us when there were 3 people over at their side with only 2 chairs available. give him the benefit of doubt, maybe he is at the senior management meeting, or is he just too busy with his prestigious premium side that stepping over will cause his shoes to be soiled. no, actually he did come over, walk around look look, see see. maybe the pts are not worth his time. WHY did they take forever to restore the aircon, in fact it was still down when i left the clinic at 5. maybe the fuse had blown and it is a rare one which require days for the fuse to be imported from overseas, or maybe its just the dental side, not worth the trouble to flick the power trip switch. give them the benefit of the doubt, it was too difficult to repair. WHY is there shortage of manpower when they had plan for this major clustering project a few years back!? coz they did not plan for it and refuse to to admit. WHY only 1 person can take leave each day!? because of shortage of manpower. WHY overbook pts when there is shortage of manpower!? coz AVERAGE values shows that we have been underperforming. pts have been failing appts as they say. Why have the pts been failing appt? because last time they never remind them, but now they have started to remind them through sms already. so WHY is there still overbooking!? stubborn. to make them look good cause now appt time is shortened and so who gets the credit? management coz they have done a good job in pleasing the ministry and the population by shortening the appointment time to weeks. so who suffers? US! coz we have to deal with the increased loads, ground complaints of waiting time coz of overbooking. so is the management GODLIKE? can they predict that everyday is an average day, staff at full strength, pts high failure rates? NO! staffs fall sick, take urgent leave. we are humans too. so what happens if all the pts turn up? can we handle them, can we reject them? average values my ass. now we are reduced to a therapist who can do extractions, no actually therapists in a factory line, everyday report to work to clear the load. his favourite phrase during the meeting was "back in my time" well i'm sad to say u are old. "back in your time", the aunties and uncles just sit and open their mouths for u to treat. ppl now are more educated. they expect to be educated and want to consider all possible options before deciding. that was my mistake because i tried to do hasty treatment and in then end it backfired on me and i kena complained. "back in your time", perhaps u were taught "drill, fill, bill." in MY time, we were taught preventive dentistry, which part of preventive do u not understand. To do the right thing when no one is watching. that is what we were taught. i dunno what u were taught "back in your time". "back in your time", AR was the in thing perhaps u got no cr to use, in my time, me and some of my pts prefer CR. you can't blame us for underperforming when u don't provide enough staffs for us as well. and the pathetic 3% increment causing all the problems. WHY? coz its not equal and we are all under the same bond, can't they just use their useless brain to think? just utilise a little more grey matter please. seniors have the right to earn more than us, i would be pissed if my juniors earn more than me. why can't we compare ourselves with med? just look at outside rates, are we earning any less than them? can u justify the difference? do we really pay less tuition fees than them? maybe we are just lower life forms. what else did i miss out!? i can't remember. nm too bad i'm not spontaneous enough to think of all these during the meeting. anyway nothing will change. it just pisses me off when my nurse told me the previous boss looked out for DOs, helping them to fight, even achieving near salaries with the med, providing welfare. it just proves a point. some ppl are just meant to be looking after feet. all i can do is to live day by day in the human factory, troubleshooting them, meeting quota... for now this will be my favourite song
